Ok so we've done Charmast vs Anker. We've done Anker vs Iniu. So naturally it makes total sense of what to compare next right? Of course it does, we should do Mophie vs AsperX. Just kidding, we're going to do Charmast vs Iniu. Specifically the W1506 against the BI-B41. Let's go ahead and kick right into it.
First we have the Charmast W1506. Currently on Amazon for $13.99 and it has a 4.5 star score on over 18,000 ratings.
Next we have the INIU BI-B41. Currently on sale for $19.99 and it has a 4.6 star score on over 95,000 ratings.
Out the gate we can see some key similarities and differences. For things where the two packs play in the same sandbox we notice that they both have two ports and for the most part are working in the same capacity range. Charmast has a 10400 mAh capacity and the INIU has 10000 mAh. They also have similar star scores and while the INIU does have a lot more ratings, the fact that Charmast is above 10,000 ratings makes it a wash for us because once you cross 10,000 you sort of are hitting law of diminishing returns.
The big difference is of course the price, the Charmast is going for $6 less than the INIU. The other big difference is the display. The Charmast will tell you the percentage left in the pack where for the INIU you won't know exactly how much charge is left. What is very impressive by the INIU is that they hold the number 1 best selling in the cell phone power banks category where as the Charmast holds the number 5 position. Which we would like to note is nothing to sneeze at either. Both brands are clearly doing something right. INIU is doing something that is of course giving it the edge in sales. Could be better branding or marketing or could be a better product who knows.
Where it gets a little interesting is that both listings have one neutral trait in the feedback. They are however different things that the other does well. In the case of the Charmast they have great battery life but the charging is slow. For the INIU on the other hand people remark how great and fast the charging is but that the battery life does seem to run out a but quicker than expected.
It's a really cool comparison. The truth is both of these products are very good and you will not go wrong either way. If budget is an issue then it would be hard for the Charmast to not win out because of the $6 difference. Other than that if price is not an issue the only thing we can find the separates the two is what we found in the feedback. That Charmast is a bit better on the battery life and that INIU is a bit better on the charging speed. If those traits matter to you, then you can use them as tie breakers to decide one over the other.
