Tape is tape right? Well intuitively we think you might be right. Just to make sure though let's do a comparison of two brands that each have a listing on Amazon of weightlifting tape and see if there is any real difference between the two that is worth giving weight to (all puns intended).
Below is the weightlifting tape offered by a brand called Element 26. Currently on Amazon for $12.57 (for 3 rolls) and has a 4.6 star score on over 500 ratings.
Below is the weightlifting tape offered by Gymreapers. Currently on Amazon for $14.99 (for 3 rolls) and it also has a 4.6 star score on over 470 ratings.
So on face it looks like they are pretty much carbon copies of each other. Save for the fact that Element 26 is offering three rolls for a slightly lower price. The feedback is pretty much a dead heat. We ran both listings through Review Meta to make sure. Good news is that both listings pass, and so the scores are reliable.
Which brings us to the conclusion that you pretty much can't go wrong with either option. The only edge we can see is that Element 26 is a bit cheaper. So if the couple of bucks actually matters you would want to go with them. Other than that, it's pretty much a dead heat.
