Escali vs Ozeri Scale: Is The Under $20 Kitchen Scale A Better Pick? We Analyze

Ok so you are trying to cook or bake in your kitchen and you want to know if you are getting the right amounts of an ingredient in your dish. And by correct we mean super correct. Like no eye balling or using basic measuing cups. We mean getting down to the digital amount of something so that it can't possibly be off. Well for that mission you have what are called kitchen scales. We have two scales on Amazon that look like god picks. One under $20 and one slightly over. Is the one under $20 a better pick? Let's dive in a see what we can find out.

First we have the Escali digital kitchen scale. This is the one that is over $20, though it isn't that much over. It's on Amazon for $24.95 and it has a 4.7 star score on over 14,000 ratings.

Then we have the Ozeri digital kitchen scale. It is on Amazon for $12.08 and it has a 4.7 star score on over 90,000 ratings.

Ozeri Pronto Digital Multifunction Kitchen and Food Scale

On face it's kinda hard see how you wouldn't go with the Ozeri. Not only is it half the price of the Escali, it has way more feedback on it as well. In fairness the Escali does have a ton of feedback as well and they have the same scores. They also both pass the Review Meta analysis. So on the surface, it's safe to say that both perform well in terms of quality. So the question now becomes is there anything in the feedback that would lead us to think that the Ozeri would not be the better pick.

We looked deeper at the AI generated feedback analysis from Amazon and both listings across the board are scoring positive responses. On traits like accuracy, quality, ease of use, and appearance/readability we are seeing positive check marks. There are no neutral or negative traits found in any of the feedback on either listing. Our rule of thumb has always been this. In a world where everything else is equal, the one that is cheaper is more often than not the one you want to go with. If you like the Escali brand or know something we don't, by all means go with them. Otherwise, Ozeri gets our nod as the winner in this matchup based on how much money you save going with them.
