So you want to improve your reaction speed and skill. Cool, that's a great idea. Having faster reaction time can't ever be a bad thing right? If you are an athlete it can help you win. And if you are not an athlete it can come in handy for a time where you need to catch something and look cool while doing it. There are two brands out there that have a reaction ball that can help you improve the skill. We try to see what kind of difference there is between the two to help you make a decision on which one to go with. Let's dive in and see what we're talking about.
First we have the reaction balls by Hecostix. Currently on Amazon for $14.99 for a 2 pack and they have a 4.7 star score on over 1,500 ratings.
Next we have the SKLZ reaction ball. Currently on Amazon for only $10.50 and it has a 4.6 star score on over 1,500 ratings.
Now if you're instinct is telling you that you really don't see a difference between the two products...it's probably pretty spot on. Because that's how it looks to us too. In fact if you go to both listings you will see that both use the same stock image. The only diffeerence is a pallette swap between the two. It's actually kind of hillarious.
So since there is evidence to make us think that these products are pretty much carbon copies of each other, which isn't uncommon in the private label world, let's go with the differences between the listings as our guide in figuring things out. The feedback is pretty much a dead heat between the two. So it comes down to price. Hecostix does indeed give you more for your value. While they are more expensive overall, you get two for $15 while you get one SKLZ for around $10 or $11. So based on that Hecostix should have the edge right? Well not so fast.
Take a closer look at the Hecostix listing. You will notice that it is shipped directly by them. Now this is not neccessarily a bad thing. All it means is that unlike most other brand which will either sell FBA or wholesale directly to Amazon, Hecostix wants to control the shipping side of their sales. So what does that mean? It means there is no prime on the listing. So it may take longer to get to you than SKLZ, which is being sold directly from Amazon. So it's a good bet you are going to get the SKLZ way faster than the Hecostix.
So it comes down to the classic question. What kind of preimium are you willing to pay for speed. If you are ok with just having one ball as long as you get it quickly than SKLZ is the way to go. If however you have all the time in the world and are in no rush, than Hecostix can give you more bang for your buck.
