Sunglasses can be expensive sometimes. Luckily you got some brands out there that can offer it for a cheaper price. Dubery is one of those brands that offer sunglasses under $20. The question of course is if they are any good. We'll let's take a look at a couple of Amazon listings and see what we can find out about the brand.
First listing we picked is the Dubery Vintage Polorized sunglasses meant for men and women. Currently $19.99 on Amazon and it has a 4.4 star score on over 11,000 ratings.
The second listing we went with is the Dubery mens oversized aviators. Currently going for $19.99 on Amazon and it has a 4.3 star score on over 1800 ratings.
So now that we have the listings, here is where things start to get weird. We ran the listings through Review Meta first. Both listings showed the same score even after analysis. The aviators responded that the majority of the ratings appeared legit. The polarized ones on the other hand registered 43% of the ratings as unnatural. The bright side is that it did not impact the score. The score still stayed at 4.4 in spite of the adjustment.
Fakespot on the other hand is an absolute disaster. After running both listings through fakespot, the analyzer gave both listings a D rating on the legitimacy of the ratings. On the polarized, fakespot adjusted the star score from the mid 4's into the mid 2's. This is a situation where we honestly don't know what the believe. It's rare when both analyzers are this far apart in how they see the feedback.
Assuming Review Meta is correct then Dunbery appears to be a solid brand. The other listings they have show scores of 4 stars or higher. If fakespot is correct though then it would appear Dunbery has astroturfed their feedback to look better than it actually is. In the end we reccomend digging into the reviews before you buy anything from Dunbery. That would be the safest approach given the confusion we got right now.
