Ok so you want to hang your guitars on the wall vs putting them in your standard guitar stand or a-frame. One of the most popular brands out there currently for guitar wall hangers is one called String Swing. We noticed though that there are two types. One called a CC01 and one called the CC01K. So what exactly is the difference between the two with that little k? Well we dig into their website to find out. First though let's take a look at the products in question.
First we have the String Swing CC01. Currently on Amazon for $14.99 and it has a 4.8 star score on over 150 ratings.
Next we have the String Swing CC01K. Currently on Amazon for $14.99 and it has a 4.8 star score on over 25,000 ratings.
What we like is that both products have really good feedback. Especially the CC01K with a whopping 25,000+ ratings. So now for the key question, what are the main differences. We went to the String Sing website to find out.
According to the site, the CC01 was the original wall hanger invention by the company. They also consider it the best option available for classic guitars. The CC01K on the other hand, has a new "keeper" feature that the "k" stands for. This keeper technology supposedly secure the guitar really well and prevents it from being improperly placed on the hanger.
This is what is the main difference between the two, the CC01K is the upgrade of the original CC01 and the "K" is what helps people be able to tell the difference. That being said, String Swing does recommend that if you have a wider classical guitar or a bass guitar that you want to hang, the CC01 is a better pick.
