Ok so you got ice cream that you have opened up and now you want to store it. You can leave it in the original case it came in. The only main drawbacks are that it might not seal super well and those original cases are kind of awkward in shape and may not be able to fit the best in a packed freezer. That's where you have these ice cream containers. They are a slimmer design and can hold up to 1.5 quarts of ice cream. There are two brands that stuck out to us. The tovolo and the sumo. Does it matter which one you get? Let's take a look.
The 1.5 quart container from Sumo is $11.99 with a 4.7 star score on over 7,000 ratings.
The container from Tovolo is $12.93 (the cheapest one) and has a 4.6 star score on over 5,000 ratings. It also has the Amazon choice label.
So in the end, does it really matter which one you go with?
Well as far as analysis on the quality goes, it appears that both products do a good job of delivering what they say they are going to do. While the Sumo has a slightly higher score and more ratings, once you hit the level that both products have, it's safe to say that any edge on the review side will probably be negligible.
Since that is the case, it comes down more to price at this point. On this Sumo has a clear advantage. The Sumo containers are all $11.99 regardless of the color that you choose. They also have options where you can buy a 2 pack and it makes the overall per unit purchase a bit cheaper.
The Tovolo on the other hand is $12.93 at the cheapest line, which is for the red one. The other colors charge different prices, with the most expensive being the white one at $19.66. At that point, going with Tovolo would make sense if you have a commitment to that brand or if you believe that the Amazon choice label is worth the extra money to pay.
